  • Can I put a hot pot off the stove into the sink?
    bg
Generally pots and pans that have been boiling water for vegetables are okay to put in the sink. However because it is always difficult to tell at what temperature a pot is it is always best to let any hot item cool before putting it in any sink. Or at the very least run water in the bowl when putting the pot in as this will cool the pot instantly.

  • What is thermal shock and how does it affect my Brighton sink?
    bg
Brighton acrylic sinks will withstand temperatures up to 365ºF. In normal daily use, stove top kitchenware is generally below 365ºF. However some frying pans and cast iron pots that have been cooking at high heat may be over this temperature. In these cases care should be taken by letting the pot or pan cool first.

  • Will abrasive cleaners damage my Brighton sink? If I damage my sink can I repair it?
    bg
CleaningAbrasive cleansers will not damage your Brighton sink. In fact, we recommend using an abrasive cleanser and a green Scotch-Brite™ pad at regular intervals to keep your Brighton sink looking new and free from minor scratches. For deeper scratches use a green Scotch-Brite™ pad or a fine grit sandpaper. In most cases small chips can also be sanded out. Larger chips may require a repair kit that is available directly from the manufacturer. Contact Domain Industries at 866-385-7775.

  • Will my Brighton sink include a template for the cut out?
    bg
No, an integral acrylic sink does not require a template for fabrication. For stone and engineered stone installations simply invert the sink on the countertop in the desired location, trace a line around the outside, trace another line 1/2" inside of this line and then, using a jig saw, cut along this line.
